The Personality -Rev. Tonborokai Robert Gajere born
on the 30th of September has is one person in Adamawa State who doesn’t
need much or long introduction because of how popular and self-introductory his
name is, starting from his family’s name “ROBERT GAJERE” down to his personal
Ministerial achievements in the Christendom in Adamawa and Nigeria as a whole.
Rev. Tonborakai Robert Gajere is an ordained pastor of the Lutheran Church of
Christ in Nigeria (LCCN). He holds a diploma
in animal health and production from the Adamawa State College of
Agriculture, Mubi and a degree in divinity from the
prestigious Theological College of Northern Nigeria, (TCNN) Bukuru-Jos, Plateau State.
He served as the vicar of the LCCN Archbishop (Emeritus) (the
most Rev. Dr. Nemuel Babba), the chaplain of the Boys Brigade Nigeria (299th Adamawa State company),
the Curate of LCCN St. Johns Arch cathedral, Numan; the Patron of Christian
Care foe widowers, widows, orphans & the Aged.
He is the co-chairman for the Nigeria
inter-religious council, Numan LGA. He is the chairman of the Christian
Association of Nigeria, Numan Chapter, Adamawa State and the State Advocacy
Committee (SAC) Chairman for the
Christian Health Association of Nigeria (CHAN)
Adamawa State. He is a member of the Nigeria Youth Leaders and Entrepreneurship
initiative (NYLEI), serving as the
National Director Religious Affairs (Christian).
Also the patron, The Light Sisters Int. He served as Chaplin to their majesties THE
HAMA BATTA-HOMUN ALHAMDU GLADSTONE TENEKE (DIYOSHIFATO, KPANGASHE, TIKULO
BATTA) and HOMUN ASAH ZADOK (GORO NGAKYE, KOZO VUDEITO) the paramount
Traditonal Rulars of the BATTA and BACHAMA KINGDOMS in
Adamawa State, North-Eastern Nigeria.
He is a member of the following committees, Boards and
councils- Bwatiye Ministers Forum Executive Council; Adamawa State Ministry of
Health Free Essential Drugs Committee (Numan L.G.A); Adamawa State Ministry of
Education Joint Advisory Board; Numan Local Govt. Main Education Committee;
Numan Local Govt. Security Council; Bachama Traditional Council;
He now serves as the CHAPLIN OF THE ADAMAWA STATE GOVERNMENT
HOUSE CHAPEL, YOLA and was recently conferred with the title-
NATIONAL ROYAL CHAPLIN in charge of North- East in recognition of his
pastoral work in the palaces of Christian Traditional Rulers in Adamawa State.
He is married to former Miss Happy Aliyuda and
they are blessed with 3 daughters and 1 son; Miss Hakuda(13years), Miss
Hunpiya(10years), Miss Haningyi(5years) and the young Mr.
Hunhumwapwa (6months).
